What airport should I fly into?
Faith and Action is located on Capitol Hill. We’re close to several airports:
- Reagan Washington National – “DCA” Arlington, VA ß this is the closest airport to Faith and Action (approximately 7 miles).
- Dulles – “IAD” Dulles, VA (approximate distance from FAA headquarters: 35 miles)
- Baltimore – “BWI” Baltimore, MD (approximate distance from FAA headquarters: 40 miles)
How do I get from the airport to Faith and Action (or my hotel)?
You have several options!
- MARC – this is the Maryland Amtrak commuter train – it’s a “step up” from the D.C. metro system. Maps and schedules for the MARC train is may be found at http://www.mtamaryland.com/ . MARC will take you from BWI to Union Station near Capitol Hill.
- Rent a car – this is an option; however, traffic in D.C. is terribly congested and parking is extremely expensive. You would be better off taking mass transit or a taxicab. We recommend Diamond Cab (202.387.6200) or Yellow Cab (202.544.1212) traveling in/around D.C. and Red Top Cab for service in/around Virginia/Maryland.
- Metro – D.C.’s subway system, Metro, is a low-cost alternative to Amtrak trains (MARC) and taxicabs. Maps and schedules detailing Metro’s times and costs may be found at http://www.wmata.com . See your hotel concierge for the nearest Metro stop. Also, most hotels offer shuttles to the nearest Metro stop.

You may ask your hotel to call a cab for you – or you may call the cab company directly (see enclosed numbers). ***Please remember to have your location information ready (hotel name, hotel address, hotel phone number, and the nearest cross-street).
If you’re already in town and need to “hail” a cab, simply wave your arm high into the air when you see a cab drive by that has their top lights turned on.

Some do! Check with your cab driver before climbing into your cab to be sure they’ll accept your form of payment.
