First, Pray…

“‘First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,’”  — 1 Timothy 2:1
The name of our ministry gives people a glimpse into what we do on Capitol Hill –our faith moves us to take action, but not in a political sense. Our “action” is to bring the truth of the Gospel [and all of God’s Word] to the forefront of everything that takes place in Capitol Hill and among our nation’s leaders.
We have a long list of “action’s” that we undertake in and through our ministry center in Washington, D.C. You have faithfully supported the many programs that Faith & Action administers in the heart of our nation’s capital. Yet, there is one “action” that stands above all the wonderful programs and pastoral care outreach that we conduct . . .
I’ve often heard people say, when facing a seemingly insurmountable circumstance: “Well, all we can do now is pray.”
Faith & Action doesn’t see prayer as our last resort – we see it as our FIRST and most important “action.” We have made prayer THE integral part of our ministry that everything else is built upon, and we ask you to join us in this never-ending need to PRAY for our nation; for our leaders; and for our government.
This summer, our staff will go on a Prayer Retreat where we will not only lift up the many needs and concerns that face our nation and its leaders, but we will also lift up YOUR prayer needs as well!
We invite you to submit your prayers on our prayer wall HERE.  It is an honor to intercede on your behalf for each and every one of your prayers!
You have, time and again, been an answer to prayer for us. Through your prayers, kind words, and gifts, you and others have enabled us to minister for over 20 years in our nation’s capital.
As we head into summer, Faith & Action often experiences a drop in our funding. If you could help us offset this drop by making a tax-deductible gift we would so appreciate it! You can make your donation online HERE, or call in your gift (202-546-8329), or mail it the old-fashioned way to Faith & Action, 109 2nd St, NE, Washington, D.C. 20002.
Let’s continue to pray FIRST and without ceasing for the needs of our nation!

On Behalf of Your Faith & Action Ministry Team,

Mrs. Peggy Nienaber
Vice President of Operations
