“After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go” (Luke 10:1).
I love the scripture in Luke 10:1. What particularly strikes me about this verse is the relevance of how the Lord used a number of people to bring about His plan of salvation and carry the Good News out into the world.
Ministry involves TEAMWORK!
Rev. Rob Schenck started Faith & Action over 22 years ago. He built a team of missionaries in Washington, D.C. to share God’s Word on Capitol Hill. As any faithful leader does, Rev. Schenck made sure that a solid foundation was built – including a solid team of dedicated believers in the ministry – to ensure that the legacy of Faith & Action would continue well past his own years of leadership.
Today, Faith & Action stands strong fulfilling its mission
Not only do we have our “up front team” on the Hill but we also have team members who are behind the scenes in our office including website and social media outreach; photography and videography support, internal and external communications; donor relations and volunteer outreach; and administrative help that reinforces and enables our other team members who are out front ministering to our national leaders on a daily basis.
There’s another part of our team that needs to be mentioned – and that is you! Our faithful supporters ARE the financial means that the Lord uses to undergird Faith & Action to do the work He needs us to do.
May we all work together to bring the Gospel to our national leaders and their staff in Washington, D.C.
On Behalf of the Faith & Action Ministry Team,
Mrs. Peggy Nienaber
Vice President of Operations
