KEEP THE LIVE NATIVITY IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
Since 2009, year after year–here on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.—we’ve staged our annual LIVE NATIVITY ON CAPITOL HILL.
In the Live Nativity, actors in New Testament era costumes portray Mary, Joseph, and the Christ Child (always a real, live, cooing newborn baby), the shepherds, Wise Men, townspeople, angels . . . and that’s not all . . . we even include the animals that likely surrounded that first CHRIST-mas scene at Bethlehem: two donkeys, three sheep, and one camel.
BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP TO KEEP THIS EVANGELISTIC OUTREACH ON CAPITOL HILL!
Our funds to bring this important message of the true meaning of Christmas to our nation’s capital city are dangerously low and we need your help. Next Tuesday, DECEMBER 12th, we are holding a day-long funding marathon to raise $20,000. If you want to see the LIVE NATIVITY displayed in front of the Capitol, please donate and please help spread the word.
When this parade of live actors in costume, including a cooing baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, and live animals—especially giant “Junior the Camel” – make their way around Capitol Hill—and stop to recreate the manger scene at Bethlehem IN FRONT OF THE U.S. SUPREME COURT, hundreds of people pause to gaze—and listen, as the entire CHRIST-mas gospel is read from Luke, Chapter 2!
If you believe we should keep saying “Merry Christmas” in this dramatic, meaningful, memorable and compelling way, please join in on our day-long funding marathon to raise $20,000 for our Live Nativity.
PLEASE MAKE YOUR TAX-DEDUCTIBLE GIFT by calling Patty at 202-546-8329 or by clicking on the DONATE button on our website (faithandaction.org). You can also mail your gift to Faith and Action, 109 2nd St NE, Washington D.C. 20002.
