Next week we celebrate a nationally recognized day of Thanksgiving – a holiday that we all know and cherish. But did you know that there is another event this week that we need to celebrate? By Congressional Special Order, the 76th National Bible Week began on Sunday to honor God, His Word, and the Bible’s critical place in our nation’s history.
Faith & Action is highlighting this event and making it known throughout our mission field here in Washington, D.C. It’s a wonderful precursor to the annual National Bible Reading Marathon – a program where we read through the entire Bible from a podium on Capitol Hill, 24 hours a day — which takes place the week of the National Day of Prayer.
Both of these activities remind our national leaders that the Bible is still the most important book ever written! Our nation needs the Gospel. And our national leaders need the hope and guidance that is found in God’s Word.
Will you help us in this effort? There are many ways you can give now and through the holiday season. To make a donation you can Simply CLICK HERE or call Patty at 202-546-8329, or send mail to Faith and Action, 109 2nd St. NE, Washington, D.C. 20002. You can also give a special gift to Faith & Action on GIVING TUESDAY, a national charitable donation day on Tuesday, November 28th.
