The fall and winter seasons are a busy time in Washington, D.C., which means it’s a busy time for Faith & Action!
Congress, the Supreme Court, and other government agencies have all reconvened from their summer break. Faith & Action is ready to welcome all of our nation’s leaders back into town. Here is an example of some of the programs we are working on right now:
Lancaster Family Circle Banquet: The Faith & Action ministry team is on the ground in Washington, D.C. every day doing behind-the-scenes Christian outreach to America’s top-level national government officials, and we share some of the good news of what God is doing through our ministry to the folks of Lancaster, PA, surrounding areas, and to anyone that wants to attend. We hope that you’ll join us this year. Click for details.
The Red Mass Ceremony: In its 65th year, the Red Mass is a church service where the Bible is read, Christ is glorified, and prayer is offered up for the Supreme Court Justices and the entire U.S. judicial system. Faith & Action is blessed to be a part of this important ceremony.
The Capitol Hill Police Officer of the Year Award: Faith & Action has hosted this event for over 20 years giving us an opportunity to thank those who ensure that our leaders, our citizens, and our staff are protected and kept from harm’s way right here on Capitol Hill. During this special time, we honor the Capitol Police who risk their lives every day for our protection.
The Congressional Emergency Prayer Team: Faith & Action was honored to be selected as part of the Congressional Emergency Prayer Team this year. Considering the unrest that we see across our nation, the inception of this important prayer team is not only encouraging, but we know that the Lord will use it mightily to bring about His will.
Live Nativity Production: Our enormously successful program where costumed actors and live animals re-enact the very first Christmas at Bethlehem right in front of the Supreme Court and the U.S. Capitol!
The programs, events, and pastoral care we provide all are based on the sharing of the Gospel and the importance of prayer to all who work on Capitol Hill.
Your support of this ministry and our missionary team is VITAL. Through your prayers, volunteerism, and financial support, Faith & Action is able to reach Capitol Hill with the Gospel of Christ.
On Behalf of Your Faith & Action Ministry Team,
Mrs. Peggy Nienaber
Vice President of Operations
