Almighty GOD; we make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection, that thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United States of America at large. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of The Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech thee, through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen – George Washington (April 30th, 1789)
Coming up in mid-August, our missionary team will be getting away from the bustle of Washington, D.C. for a few days and going to a solitary place to do nothing but PRAY. Just as George Washington realized that prayer was the foundation of our nation, we too realize that prayer is the foundation of this ministry.
The Bible says, “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. .” (James 5:16).
Faith & Action team members will be spending time praying for all of the Congressional members, Supreme Court Justices, the President and his cabinet, and other governmental leaders by name. AND, we will be praying for YOU – our Faith & Action supporter, by name as well. If you have not yet shared with us your prayer request, please do so by Clicking Here. We want to hear from you – so please share what’s on your heart so we can lift your request up before the Lord.
