Washington, DC, Nov 19–Faith and Action president Rob Schenck talks with Jim Standish, the new executive director of the United States Commission on International Freedom, at the Commission’s headquarters. “USCIRF,” as it is known, was created by Congress in 1998 to advise the government on measures it can take to advance religious freedom around the world. Director Standish asked Rev. Schenck to participate in a consultation with Evangelical leaders with a view towards improving the agency’s effectiveness.
